We’re incredibly proud to share that Hocus Pocus has won Gold at the SIBA National Independent Beer Awards 2026, taking the top spot in the Cask British Dark Beer (4.5%–6.4%) category.

Presented at BeerX in Liverpool, the SIBA National Awards are among the most respected honours in independent brewing, with breweries from across the UK competing in judged blind tastings by industry experts.

For us at Loddon Brewery, this is a huge achievement — particularly for a beer that has long been a favourite with drinkers who appreciate rich character, balance, and depth in a traditional dark ale.

At 4.6%, Hocus Pocus is a smooth, dark old ale with roasted malt character, subtle sweetness, and a satisfying full-bodied finish. It’s a beer we’ve always believed in, and it’s fantastic to see it recognised on the national stage.

This latest success adds to Hocus Pocus’ long-standing reputation as one of Loddon Brewery’s most celebrated beers.
