Loddon Brewery Supports The RAF Benevolent Fund With It’s New Beer ‘SCRAMBLE’

Loddon Brewery launches new beer to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain

2015 will see people across the country commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain – the most significant aerial bombing campaign in World War Two history and undoubtedly the RAF’s finest hour.

To commemorate this turning point in the nation’s history, Loddon Brewery has produced a new bottle of fine English beer called “Scramble” ABV 4.4% using traditional ingredients.

We have agreed to donate five pence from every bottle of beer sold to the RAF Benevolent Fund, the RAFs leading welfare charity, which provides financial, practical and emotional support to all members of the RAF family in their time of need.

The label design features the old Airfix painting as seen on the exterior of their model boxes and we have kindly been given permission to use the design by Hornby Hobbies Ltd. The crown features the RAF Benevolent fund Roundel coloured blue and white with a red Heart in the middle.

The charity, which receives no government funding, spent £18 million in 2013 supporting over 60,000 members of the RAF family, including veterans who served in World War Two and those men and women serving today in places like Iraq and Afghanistan as well as their families.

Loddon Brewery has very kindly agreed to support the RAF Benevolent Fund in this way and we strongly believe that the quality of “Scramble” and its story will resonate with the public.
